This course places a strong emphasis on exploration and experiential learning. A typical class day is dedicated to the profound study of both asana and therapeutic applications. The curriculum delves into the anatomy of movement, offering insights into transformational yoga practices such as pranayama, meditation, philosophy, yogic anatomy, and lifestyle.
Course Prerequisites
This course is open to students of all levels and to teachers who hold RYT 200 or ERYT 200 certifications, providing an opportunity for continuing education to enhance and align with Yoga Alliance standards.

Certification
Upon completion of this course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion for 300 yoga teacher training hours. This certificate fulfills the Yoga Alliance national requirements for a 300-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), the national standard for teaching yoga in the United States and other selected countries.

- Sanskrit reading, writing, understanding and typing with proper pronunciation of Mantras, Asanas, Chakras and the 8 limbs of yoga.

Required Reading
Several classical and modern texts are used in the course, with reading assignments to be completed before each weekend. Please allocate 2-3 hours for these readings weekly. A reading list of required and recommended books will be shared through the teacher training staff.
Additional Resources and Learning Opportunities
You will have the opportunity for at least two mentoring sessions with a certified yoga teacher who will personally guide your practice and address specific teaching questions. Your mentor is a valuable resource providing essential one-on-one time for your development as a teacher. You will also observe and assist in your mentor’s yoga classes.
Moreover, the course is structured to facilitate participation in small student groups to share experiences, gain help from peers, and engage in practice teaching. These student peer groups are an excellent way to build confidence and create a supportive community as you grow.
Tuition
$4,500 (CAD + HST) covers the 300-hour certification course, manual, required reading materials, and provides access to unlimited classes at UPASNA for one year.
